William E. ‘Bill’ Daley Sr.

William E. "Bill" Daley Sr., 82, of Parkersburg, passed away Sept. 8, 2012, at Camden Clark Medical Center.

He was born May 12, 1930, in Parkersburg, a son to the late Walter Elmer and Stella Mae Daley.

He was a truck driver for 35 years and was given recognition by President George H.W. Bush for driving over 500,000 miles accident free. He was a member of 19th Street Church of God.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald E. Daley; and sister-in-law, Dora Lee Daley.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruby Mae Daley; brother, Charles Edward Daley (Judy) of Parkersburg; sister, Barbara Ann Cooper (Clyde) of Pettyville; son, William E. Daley Jr. (Sharleen) of Parkersburg; daughter, Judith Ann Poling (Dewayne) of Parkersburg; son, David Michael Daley (Barbara) of Lexington, Ky.; daughter, Diana Linn Morrison (Michael) of Elkins; grandchildren, William Todd Daley, Stephanie Mae Gibbs, Lori Linn Sanders, Jennifer Brooke Sterling, Nicholas Daley, Stacey Keown, Brian Lee Wilson, Sara Beth Miller, Carlee Beth Morrison and Michael Byron Morrison Jr.; 12 great-grandchildren; and a large, loving extended family.

Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Sterling officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
