Marvin and Barbara Nicholas of Ravenswood will celebrate their 60th anniversary with a dinner held by their children today at DaVinci's Italian Restaurant in Williamstown.
They were married Sept, 7, 1952, in the Walton Memorial Methodist Church by Rev. Melvin S. Resinger in Ravenswood.
He is the son of the late Hosea and Tina Nicholas of Williamstown. He served in the U.S. Navy four years and was on the U.S.S. Leyte during the Korean War. He retired from Union Carbide (Eramet) with 38 years service.

She is the daughter of the late Jacob and Elizabeth Kinzel of Ravenswood. She worked several years for J.C. Penney in Marietta and was a stay-at-home mom.
They are both active with veterans affairs.
They are the parents of four children, Cheryl Hall, Joseph and John Nicholas, all of Williamstown, and the late James Nicholas.
They have five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
