Edward and Clara Alesius of Parkersburg will celebrate their 60th anniversary on Sept. 27 with family and friends and a cruise to New England and Canada.
They were married Sept. 27, 1952, in a ceremony at the Immaculate Conception RC Church in Pittsburgh, Pa.
He worked at Fisher Scientific in Pittsburgh until 1991 and then with the Bureau of the Public Debt in Parkersburg until he retired in 2002.

He enjoys playing golf and driving cars.
She was a school crossing guard for 25 years in West Mifflin and retired when they moved to Parkersburg. She enjoys playing bingo and visiting game rooms.
The couple attend St. Margaret Mary Church in Parkersburg.
They are the parents of Alan of Downingtown, Pa., Robert of North Huntingdon, Pa., and Keith of Logan, W.Va., and the late Chuckie.
They have five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
