Patricia A. Watson (Strother) Williams went home to be with the Lord on Aug. 19, 2012, in Clearwater, Fla., after a 17-year battle with cancer.
Patricia was born in 1945 in Welch, W.Va. She was a 1963 graduate of PHS. She moved to Clearwater, Fla., in 1994.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela Strother of Clearwater, Fla.; her daughter and son-in-law, Tamara and John Hoy of Clearwater, Fla.; grandchildren, Jacob Hoy and Graceanna Strother; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Sheryl Watson of Parkersburg; and 12 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Williams; parents, Wilbur and Arlene Watson; and sister, Elaine Reeder.
Patricia was a lifelong member of Anderson Church of God and the Lord made Himself evident in her life. After careers in government service and as a dietitian, she found her calling when she became a Registered Nurse. She worked in hospitals in Virginia, West Virginia and Florida. Patricia loved to read, commenting that she hopes "there are libraries in Heaven." She enjoyed Bible study, needlework, sewing, cooking, gardening, baking and painting. She loved to spoil her grandchildren. She adored animals, Easter, Christmas time, picnics and butterflies. She enjoyed Williamsburg, smelling roses, relaxing on a rainy day and wearing Red Door perfume.
