The business will provide residents with mild to severe hearing loss with a range of services such as audiometric testing, hearing aid sales and service, video ear inspections and repairs.

Elbin said he wants to educate people about what is going on with their own hearing and find the best solution to address there particular problem.

"We pride ourselves in taking care of people, not just selling hearing aids," he said. "We don't play games, we don't pull punches and we never cut corners.

"We will do a complete line of hearing testing."

Elbin said they will be a full-service hearing office, not a medical facility.

"I am a certified audioprosthologist," Elbin said. "I have been licensed for 26 years and been license for a year and a half in West Virginia."

People will not be triple booked on a single day and turn around times will be very quick. People won't have to wait a month to get a hearing aid. Elbin can also do in-home and nursing home visits.

"People can be assured of good customer service," he said.

Elbin Hearing Centers Inc. is an authorized NuEar dealer. NuEar specializes in digital hearing instruments to enhance the active lifestyles of hearing impaired patients.

"All of my equipment is fully up to date as far as technology is concerned," Elbin said. "Anyone (who comes here) will know exactly what is going on.

Getting a hearing aid will not be a drawn out process.

"Turn around times will be very quick," Elbin said. "You won't have to wait a month to get a hearing aid."

With improvements in technology, hearing aids have come a long way in size, performance and comfort.

"Around 99 percent of the things people didn't like about hearing aids five years ago is gone because of the fully digital equipment we use now," Elbin said. "Almost anyone can wear a hearing aid nowadays."
