Arthur L. Varner II, 60, of Marietta, Ohio, formerly Parkersburg, W.Va., died on Aug. 27, 2012, at OSU -Ross Heart Hospital after a long illness.
Art was born July 21, 1952 to the late Arthur L. and Margie Beall Varner.
He graduated from Parkersburg High School and got an Associate Degree from WVU at Parkersburg.
He is survived by the love of his life, Doreen; her parents Mary Ann and Merle Horn of St. Clairsville, Ohio. Also by David Norn and Denise Fish. Sisters, Judy Varner of Vienna and Barbara (Don, whom he felt was his true brother) Wigal of Parkersburg. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Sammy.
Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and by one great-great-nephew.
Art loved to talk to his many friends, go fishing and bowling. He was always willing to help anyone that needed him.
At Art's request his body has been donated to the Human Gift Registry at OSU. There will be no services per his request.
