Roberta “Granny” Bosley

Roberta E. "Granny" Bosley, 95, of Walker, passed away at her residence under the loving care of her family and Hospice.

She was born in Elizabeth, W.Va., Aug. 27, 1916, a daughter of the late Joshua Walker and Fannie Lockhart West.

Roberta had worked at the Bonded Sleep Mattress Factory for 13 years. She loved to cook, sew, working crossword puzzles and jig saw puzzles and camping with her family. She was a member of Parkersburg First Church of the Nazarene where she had served as a Sunday school teacher and with Senior Adult Dinners for several years.

"Granny" is survived by her children Linda Kupfner and Bill of Walker, Thomas A. Bosley Sr. and Janet of Parkersburg; seven grandchildren, Jimmy Reese, Jr. Jeff Reese, Brenda Paden, Teresa Giffin, Tom Bosley, Jr. Phillip Kupfner, Paul Kupfner; 13 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Roberta was preceded in death by her husband Albert F. Bosley, daughter Loretta Reese, three brothers, four sisters and one infant grandson John Paul Reese.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Parkersburg First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Keith Hostutler officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg and from 10-11 a.m. Friday prior to the service at the church.

The family has requested that memorial donations be made in Roberta's memory to the Parkersburg First Church of the Nazarene, 1810 19th Street, Parkersburg, WV 26101.
