Frederick Edwin Anderson, 96, of Parkersburg, passed away on Aug. 22, 2012, at Eagle Pointe.
He was born Aug. 28, 1915, in Elizabeth, W.Va., a son of the late Robert Earl and Theresa Weser Anderson.
Fred graduated from Wirt County High School and Carnegie Mellon University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1937. He retired from DuPont Washington Works as a mechanical engineer and enjoyed cattle farming. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He is survived by his son, Frederick Sayre "Freddy" Anderson of Parkersburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Max and Weser Vernon Anderson; and one sister, Eunice Anderson.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Evergreen North Cemetery with Pastor Kurt Busiek officiating.
