L. Pete and Patti Barrett of Washington, W.Va., announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicole Danielle Barrett, to Roger Scott Taylor, son of Roger and June Taylor of Matoaka, W.Va.
The couple are both graduates of Marshall University. She received a bachelor's degree in nursing. He received a bachelor's degree in biomedical science and is pursuing a doctorate in osteopathic medicine at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg.
A wedding is planned for Sept. 1 at Bethel Baptist Church in Parkersburg. They will reside in Princeton.
