Pay military what they’re worth

August 19, 2012
Parkersburg News and Sentinel

While reading an article today about soldiers losing their security clearance because of not being able to pay their bills on time, I was dumbfounded. Saying a soldier would be more likely to accept money if they have excessive debt, and even lose their chance of promotion and a possibility of a bad-conduct discharge is a lot of crap.

Being in debt does not a crook make. Look at all the politicians that take money and not lose their security clearance. Politicians are entrusted with the security of the United States, and not all are honest, and I am sure all do not pay their debts on time.

Until our government decides to pay our military what they are really worth, where they can pay their bills on time, I guess many qualified people will lose their jobs, many people will continue to not do military service.

Wake up America, or we will continue to be at risk from terrorists that hate us for the rights that we have as a free nation, such as it is in this time.
