Gertrude 'Gin' Cronin

Gertrude Glenora "Gin" Cronin, 79, of Waverly, W.Va., Oak Grove Community, passed away Aug. 11, 2012, at her residence.

She was born Dec. 2, 1932, in Pleasants County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Griff and Rose Leota Johnson Maston.

She had attended Newport United Methodist Church and was retired after 31 years from the former Colin Anderson Center in St. Marys, W.Va. Her hobbies included flowers and plants.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Robert G. "Bob" Cronin; four children, Janice (Terry) Malone of Waverly, W.Va., Sherri (Bryan) Sepessy of Greensboro, N.C., Mike (Lisa) Cronin of Waverly, W.Va., and Tracy (Jeff) Carpenter of St. Marys, W.Va.; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Garnet Henthorn of Marietta, Ohio, and Georgia McCurry of West Virginia; one brother, Hershel Maston of Belmont, W.Va.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Alfred McGee; two sons, Ed McGee and Frank McGee; granddaughter, Christy Ann Brammer; two sisters, Glenda Mahaney and Gaynell Steele; and four brothers, Harold "Buck" Maston, Howard "Jake" Maston, Herman Maston and Holbert Maston.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, W.Va., with Pastor Jimmy Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Willow Island Cemetery, Willow Island, W.Va. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday and from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
