SFC (Ret) Charles Eugene Bonnett, 78, of Columbus, Ga., died Aug. 3, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Ga.
Mr. Bonnett was born June 27, 1934, in Wood County, W.Va., to the late George W. Bonnett and Irene Moorehead Bonnett.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Tincie L. Bonnett of Columbus, Ga.; sons, Mitchell Lynn Bonnett of Norfolk, Va., Michael Lee Bonnett of Radcliff, Ky., and Bryan "Luke" Bonnett of Elizabethtown, Ky.; grandchildren, Charles Hyong Bonnett and Mitchell Dean Bonnett, both of Radcliff, Ky.; and niece, Carol Kuhens, of Parkersburg, W.Va.
Funeral services will be held at a later date in the National Cemetery in Ft. Knox, Ky., according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, Ga.
