I find it a shame that Parkersburg is so selfish that they cannot give up any space in the either of the city parks for a dog park. It has been asked over and over to have one but been rejected numerous times.
Vienna is so much smaller and is putting one - and a nice one I might add - in Jackson Park. So does this mean that Vienna cares more about the health and well being of its dogs than Parkersburg? I hope not. I hope it's just an oversight on the part of the city that they just haven't found "quite the right spot" to put the dog parks here in Parkersburg.
Their answer when asked about it however was that there is one in Mountwood. Oh, goodie, so let me pile my dogs into the car, use the gas to get out there for them to run around for 15 minutes and then reload them and drive home.
Why should I have to do that when we have a beautiful park within walking distance to most anyone interested in using it.
