Rose E. Hinton

Rose Ellen Hinton, 62, of Pennsboro, passed away July 19, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital in Charleston.

She was born Nov. 20, 1949 in Wood County, a daughter of the late Paul Deem and Mable "Boots" Deem. Rose was a graduate of Williamstown High and the Parkersburg Beauty College. She, along with her husband Larry, were Honory Life Members of the Ritchie County Rebel Band Boosters. Rose loved her family and friends. They were always most important in her life. She will be missed by all.

Surviving is her husband of 35 years, Larry Hinton; daughters, Jennifer Rose Hinton (Doug Perkins), Erica Shepler (James) and DeeDee Blair (Leigh), all of Pennsboro; brother, Mike Deem (Becky) of Ripley; and special friend, Mary Sue Ingram of Pennsboro. She also leaves behind five loving grandchildren, Shane Hinton, Savanah Shepler, Trinity Duncan, Charles Blair and Emma Blair. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Bill, Larry and Chester Deem; and sisters, Jackie Clark and Elda "Sis" Stark.

Funeral services will be Sunday, 3 p.m. at the McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro with Pastor Roger Barnes officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, 1-3 p.m.

In following Rose's wishes, she will be cremated and her remains laid to rest with her family at Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown.

Memorial contributions may be made in Rose's name to the Ritchie County Band Boosters, 201 Ritchie County School Rd., STE. 1, Ellenboro, WV 26346.
