Guy and Carolyn Cumpston of Waverly will celebrate their 50th anniversary on July 28. They were married at the Smithburg EUB Church in Doddridge County by the Rev. Robert Moore.
He is the son of the late Leeman and Freda Cumpston of Parkersburg. He is retired from American Municipal Power Ohio of Marietta.
She is the daughter of the late Harley and Thelma Moore of Smithburg, W.Va. She is retired from the Bureau of Public Debt.

They are the parents of two sons, Shannon (Crystal) of Pettyville, W.Va., and Shawn (Heather) of Bridgeport, W.Va. They have six grandchildren.
An open house reception will be held from 1-4 p.m. July 28 at the Comfort Suites in Mineral Wells. Cards are welcome, but please omit gifts.
