Lois Ruth Gill, 83, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away July 18, 2012, at Roane General Hospital, Spencer, W.Va.
Lois was born May 26, 1929 in Ritchie County, a daughter of the late Earnest R. Osbourn and Martha Hayes Osbourn. She was a homemaker and a wonderful mother, she also enjoyed playing Bingo and traveling. Her husband of 35 years Lester Carl Gill passed away in 1981. She was a member of the Wood County Seniors and the Baptist Temple of Parkersburg.
She is survived by two sons, Gary L. Gill (Diana) of Gallipolis, Ohio and Steven R. Gill of Marietta, Ohio; three daughters, Theresa "Sue" L. Schultz (George) of Reedy, W.Va. and Deborah Patterson (Randy) of Davisville, W.Va. and Misty Carpenter (Chris) of Marietta, Ohio. One brother, William B. Osbourn of Barboursville, W.Va. and eight grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one great-granddaughter, Taylor Paige Patterson, and one brother and four sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va. at 11 a.m. on Friday, with Rev. Sandy Runnion officiating. Burial will follow at IOOF Cemetery Harrisville, W.Va. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today and from 10-11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
