Linda Ann Jones, 46, of Walker, W.Va., passed away July 14 2012, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
She was born Oct. 23, 1965, in Parkersburg, a daughter of Henry Camden Jones and Virginia Catherine Denton Jones, both of Parkersburg.
Linda was a graduate of Parkersburg High School, attended Kanawha Baptist Church and she had worked as a River Boat Deck Hand. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, the outdoors and nature, spending time on the river and her grandchildren.
Surviving is her daughter, Amy Sue Wilson (Stephen Gherke) of Vienna; two grandchildren, Addison Nichole Gherke and Cooper Allen Gherke; one brother, David R. (Martha) Jones of Parkersburg; one sister, Connie S. Jones of Parkersburg; several nieces and nephews; and many longtime friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Bo Wilson in 1994; paternal grandfather, John C. Jones, who was a World War I veteran; paternal grandmother, Edna Knopp; and maternal grandmother, Bessie Denton.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St., Parkersburg. Pastor Christopher Longrear will officiate and burial will follow at Fought Cemetery at Newark. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
