These first graders at Beverly-Center Elementary School were honored for their achievements during the 2011-2012 school year by their teachers Ms. Andrea Chevalier and Mrs. Brenda Pierce.
In Ms. Chevalier' class, Sydnee Duskey was honored with the "Good Conduct" award for having the most class days on 'green'. Other awards included: Math Award All 'E's": Shannon Cooper, Sadie Wentz, Ethan Thompson, Nate Silvus, Austin Powell, Kelson McCurdy, and Sydnee Duskey; Reading Award All 'E's': Sydnee Duskey, Ryan Duskey, Nate Silvus, Kelson McCurdy, Ethan Thompson, and Austin Powell; Super Speller All 'E's": Ethan Thompson, Nate Silvus, Austin Powell, Kelson McCurdy, Sydnee Duskey, Ryan Duskey, Shannon Cooper, Abby Brister, and Sadie Wentz; Certificate of Achievement Wade Patterson, Nate Linger, Travis Root, Traven Baker, Halley Fraunfelter, and Tony Hill.
In Mrs. Pierce's class, Kiersten Cline was honored for having perfect attendance. LUNCH PROGRAM WINDING DOWN
Parents are reminded of the free summer lunch program for children sponsored by the Washington Morgan County Community Action Center. Located at the Beverly United Methodist Church, 700 Park St. in Beverly, this program provides great, hot, nutritious meals and fun programs each day, Monday through Friday, from noon 1:00 p.m. All that is required to attend the meals is an RSVP to 740-373-3455 to reserve a meal for the days attending. TREAT BAGS AVAILABLE
Readers participating in the Beverly Public Library's summer reading program are reminded to pick up their 'treat bags' and pass for the pool party beginning today during normal library hours. The pool party is scheduled for July 26 from 7-9 p.m. at the Beverly Public Pool. Admission to the pool party is by ticket only, so be sure to stop by the library and pick up your bag!
