PARKERSBURG - A Parkersburg man was arrested Thursday on outstanding warrants for fleeing in a vehicle and possession of marijuana.
Timothy Michael Waldron, 26, was located on East Seventh Street Thursday night and taken into custody without incident, said Sgt. Greg Collins, spokesperson for the Parkersburg Police Department.
Waldron's charges stem from an incident on June 26, when police attempted to stop a Toyota Camry in the 1000 block of Tefft Street for a traffic violation. The driver refused to stop and sped through a residential area with his lights off. The driver abandoned the vehicle in an alley in the 1100 block of Lynn Street and fled on foot, evading capture, said Collins.
Officers recovered a wallet and identification in the vehicle, as well as 200 grams of marijuana, said Collins.
Waldron was arraigned and released on $15,000 bond. The suspect was on parole related to a separate drug incident at the time of his arrest, police said.
