PARKERSBURG - Three Civil War signs believed to have been stolen from Fort Boreman Park last weekend were located Friday in a City Parks storage facility.
Police located the signs, valued at $5,100, in a maintenance office in City Park Friday.
Sgt. Greg Collins, spokesman for the Parkersburg Police Department, said the signs were reported missing after the severe thunderstorms June 29. Surveillance footage was lost during the storm because of widespread power outages.
Police said a citizen found the signs, which had been knocked from their posts, and secured them in storage.
