Jim and Judy Linger of Parkersburg will celebrate their 50th anniversary from 1:30-3:30 p.m. July 7 at Grace Baptist Church in Parkersburg.
They were married by Rev. Albert C. Howe on July 6, 1962, at Stout Memorial United Methodist Church.
He is the son of the late Hayward and the late Naomi "Sally" Linger of Parkersburg and the stepson of Etheail Linger of Ringgold, Ga. He is retired from West Virginia University of Parkersburg as a professor of industrial technology. He is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and the current Boy Scout camp commissioner for Camp Kootaga. He enjoys Scouting, riding motorcycles, hunting and boating.

She is the daughter of the late Clarence and Ethel Greenwalt of Parkersburg. She is retired from J.C. Penney and enjoys bowling, riding motorcycles and boating.
They are both active members of Grace Baptist Church of Parkersburg.
They have three children, Kelly Poe, Scott (Brenda) Linger and Casey (Michelle) Linger, all of Parkersburg. They have four grandchildren, Jamie Poe, Tyler Barnes, Halle Linger and Ivy Linger.
