Cooking Light returns with a new cookbook featuring 5-ingredient, 15-minute recipes for busy home cooks who still want to eat right with "Cooking Light: Fresh Food Fast 24/7."

With 280 recipes, there is sure to be something to please even the pickiest palate and will feed family, friends and just yourself!

The book opens up with a new feature, "Market to Meal Planners" a section of 10 shopping lists that are four nine recipes, including three dinners. The recipes use common ingredients, so you don't have to buy a specific ingredient for just one meal.

There are also recipes that feature "Feed Four for $10 or Less" - recipes that intend to help stretch your budget. "To-Go Tips" offer portable dishes that will stay tasty and "Switch It Up" lets you convert a recipe into a sandwich, salad or more!

The book divides into recipe chapters, "Breakfasts to Go," "Weekend Breakfasts & Brunches," "Portable Lunches," "At Home Lunches," "Snacks," "Cocktail Hour," "Weeknight Dinners," "Weekend Suppers" and Desserts."

Don't grab a donut on your way to work, instead, try recipes in "Breakfasts to Go" like Cinnamon-Raisin Waffle Sandwich, Cappuccino-Chocolate Chip Muffins, Sausage Drop Scones and more.

Take your time with "Weekend Breakfasts & Brunches" like Cast-Iron Breakfast Pizza, Buttermilk Pancakes with Caramelized Bananas, Cheese Blintzes, Mediterranean Hash Brown Cakes and more.

Lunches can go farther with "Portable Lunches" like Thai Pork Roll-Ups, Lentil Salad, Chicken Tortilla Soup and Cranberry-Orange Turke Salad Sandwiches.

Relax at home with "At Home Lunches" like Curried Paneer and Spinach-Stuffed Potatoes, Bufalo Chicken Pizzas, Pork and Onion Jam Sandwiches and Greek Lamb Salad.

Snacks are quick fixes like "Bacon-Horseradish-Stuffed Eggs, Curried Yogurt Dip and Peanut Butter-Chocolate Chip Granola Squares.

Enjoy "Cocktail Hour" with appetizers like Crab Salad in Wonton Cups, Caramelized Onion and Goat Cheese Tartlets and Creamy Avocado Dip with Sweet Potato Chips.

"Weeknight Dinners" are quick fixes like Horseradish-Garlic Flank Steak with Lemony Argula Salad, Grilled Citrus Halibut, Shredded Chicken Tacos and more.

Relax with "Weekend Suppers" like Tandoori Salmon with Cilantro-Yogurt Sauce and Sauteed Okra, Chicken Saltimbocca, Orange-Ginger Pork Chops with Sweet and Sour Cabbage and more.

Finish things up with delicious "Desserts" like Baklava Bites, Banana Pound Cake and Chocolate-Cranberry Refrigerator Cookies.

Even though it was mentioned in the breakfast foods, I made "Breakfast Egg Salad Sandwiches" for dinner one night. This ramped up egg salad gets extra flavor out of shredded sharp cheddar cheese and bacon. It was very easy to prepare one night after work, with very little prep work. And best of all, it made enough for sandwiches for the girls and myself and even extra for family and friends to try later! It made for a great cool sandwich on a warm evening.

"Cooking Light: Fresh Food Fast 24/7" is published by Oxmoor House. It is $24.95.
