PARKERSBURG - The annual Artsbridge Summer Kids' Festival will be July 10 at Parkersburg City Park and there will also be a Kids Fest concert July 11 at the Mid-Ohio Valley Players Theatre in Marietta.
Artsbridge Inc. has been serving the Mid-Ohio Valley for 26 years.
Both the Parkersburg and Marietta events are for preschool-through-elementary school-aged children. Attendance is free for both events, due to the sponsorship by the Henry Logan Children's Home, the Oakland Foundation, Peoples Bank, the Ohio Arts Council and the West Virginia Commission on the Arts.
Todd Burge of Parkersburg will be the headliner each day and will be performing many of his children's songs.
The Kids Fest activities July 10 will be held in and around the Parkersburg City Park Pavilion between 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. In case of rain, all activities will be moved inside the pavilion. Burge will perform inside the pavilion beginning at 11 a.m. He will perform a 45-minute concert . Following his concert, there will be art activities including face painting by representatives of the Actors Guild of Parkersburg and Peoples Bank; dance by Vicki Dils; cartooning by JD Williamson; painting by Thaddeus Brewjo and karaoke by Larry Parmiter.
There will also be hula hoops, bead bracelets, bubbles and chalk drawing with the assistance of youth staff from the Parkersburg Boys and Girls Club. Joe Stephens will set up a giant model train on a trailer and the Kootaga Indian Dancers are scheduled to set-up a teepee and perform. A limited number of hot dogs will be served, compliments of the Texas Roadhouse. Attendees will need to provide their own beverages.

On July 11 the Summer Kids' Concert will be held from 2-3 p.m. Burge will perform another 45-minute concert followed by a question-and-answer period at the Mid-Ohio Valley Players Theatre, Fourth and Putnam streets in Marietta.
