Cardiology program receives accreditations

PARKERSBURG -Parkersburg Cardiology Associates has received three-year re-accreditations in nuclear cardiology and in echocardiography in the areas of adult transthoracic from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission.

Accreditation means Parkersburg Cardiology has undergone a review of its operational and technical components by a panel of experts. The IAC grants accreditation to facilities found to be providing quality patient care in compliance with national standards through a comprehensive application process including detailed case study review, according to a news release.

Parkersburg Cardiology is the only nuclear cardiology lab accredited by the IAC within a 45-mile radius of Parkersburg. Parkersburg Cardiology also is the only echocardiography lab accredited by the IAC within a 45 mile radius.
