Chair theft not appreciated

May 20, 2012
Parkersburg News and Sentinel

Concerning the person or persons who took the four tan floral lawn chairs from my front yard, on the southside of Parkersburg, May 16, between 2 and 3 p.m.

I had washed the chairs, also cushions from two other chairs, and set them in the sun to dry. Imagine my surprise when I went out an hour later to bring them back on the porch and found them gone. I guess I should be thankful the thief left the cushions to the other chairs so my friends and I will have something to sit on this summer. I live on a fixed income and will not be able to replace them any time soon, so I would really like to have the chairs returned.

These chairs were not trash, they were simple setting in the yard drying. I understand some people supplement their income by going through trash, selling and recycling it, but ask first, especially when something looks too good to be thrown away. Maybe, like my chairs it isn't trash.
