Boyd L. Emrick

Boyd L. "Buckskin" Emrick, 75, of Belpre, Ohio, died May 5, 2012, at his residence.

He was born in Parkersburg, W.Va., a son of the late Boyd E.and Mary L. (Snyder) Emrick.

He was a truck driver, and prior to that worked as a mechanic for Borg Warner for 22 years. He was a 32nd degree Mason and member of Bartlett Masonic Lodge 293, Shriners and Scottish Rite. He was an avid CB'er, and NASCAR fan. He enjoyed showing horses and earned a certificate from Meredith Manor. He also enjoyed racing go-carts.

He is survived by his daughter, Leigh Ann Minturn (Charles) of Vincent, Ohio; stepson, James M. Malone of Belpre, Ohio; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary K. Shuman of Vincent, Ohio, and Patricia A. Hughes of Belpre, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (Miracle) Emrick; stepson, David Malone; and sister, Wanda F. Emrick.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, Ohio, with the Rev. Danny McVey officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with Masonic Services by Bartlett Masonic Lodge 293 at 7 p.m.
