Michelle Jean Parks, 52, of Ellenboro, passed away Monday, April 23, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends.

She was born Oct. 1, 1959 in Richwood, W.Va., the daughter of the late Virgil and Betty Robertson Nichols. She was a 1977 graduate of Harrisville High School and attended Glenville State College. She was a member of Ellenboro Chapter 20 Order of the Eastern Star, and a Methodist by faith. She had worked as office manager at Lucky Eye Care in Ellenboro and volunteered for the Ritchie County Humane Society.

Shelly is survived by her husband of 31 years, Steven Craig Parks; daughters, Erin Parks of Morgantown, Ashley Ginanni (Joseph) of Pennsboro and Danielle Parks of Belpre, Ohio; three grandchildren, Tristen and Giuliana Ginanni and Ava Gizzi; sister, Sheryll Jameson (Mel); nieces, Melanie Edwards and Shannon Cress; great-nieces, Madeline Edwards and Olivia Cress; and great-nephews, Griffin and Connor Edwards and Kellen Cress.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 27, 2012 at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville with Pastor Dan Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Finch, W.Va. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
