Kenneth William Nichols, 88, of Parkersburg, passed away April 17, 2012, at Camden Clark Medical Center, St. Joseph's Campus.
He was born Sept. 26, 1923 in Ellenboro, W.Va., a son to the late Asa and Nancy Pritchard Nichols. He was a retired Union carpenter, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and a member of American Legion Post 15.
He is survived by his children, Angie Thompson (Joel) of Parkersburg, Gary Nichols (Amy) of Parkersburg, Kenneth Nichols Jr. (Brooke) of Parkersburg, Kenda Weaver of Vienna, and Judy Mosser (Howard) of Dundee, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a great great-grandchild. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Service will be Friday, 11 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
