The Charlie Daniels Band will be the keynote performer for the annual Parkersburg Homecoming in August, officials announced this morning.
Organizers of the festival made the announcement at a press conference at the Black Annex.
The band, which performed at the homecoming in 1989, is known for the fiddle-playing Charlie Daniels and its greatest hit, "The Devil Went Down to Georgia."
