While driving through Parkersburg today I passed many election posters, but one caught my eye and it said, "A new way of law enforcement." Does this mean shoot now and ask questions later? Does this apply to the recent case where a young man was shot down and killed by the police of Parkersburg?
It makes me wonder if the people of Parkersburg will be afraid to call for help because they are not sure what they will get. I know I would think twice about calling for help in and around Parkersburg. If this is the "New Way of Law Enforcement," I want nothing to do with it and you shouldn't either. I think people should be asking a lot of questions about this case.
I am proud to be the aunt of Jody Wilson. He was a good kid that took a wrong turn. He did not deserve this. He was asking for help and his mother was trying to get him the help that he needed and this is what happened. You know how you think this would never happen to your family, well I am here to tell you that it can and will if we let this type of law enforcement go on.
Jody Wilson will be missed deeply by all those that knew and loved him!

EDITOR'S NOTE: The fatal shooting of Jody Wilson involved Wood County deputy sheriffs, not Parkersburg police.
