Thomas P. Malloy Sr.

Thomas Patrick Malloy, Sr., 85, of Liverpool, Pa., formerly of Parkersburg, was called home to rest March 21, 2012, in Harrisburg, Pa. with his family at his side.

He was born in Tunnelton, W.Va., March 26, 1926, a son of the late John J. and Madeline Kenney Malloy. He was retired from Burger Brewing of Cincinnati, Ohio, and served in the U.S. Navy during WW II on board The U.S.S. Pennsylvania. Tom was Past Commander of American Legion Post 15, Past WV State Commander, a member of The B.P.O.E. Knights of Columbus, Past Grand Chef De Gare of the 40/8, The Governor's Progress Group, and very involved in The Boys Town Organization. He was a lifetime member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and actively involved with The Matthew 25 Food Cupboard.

Tom is survived by six chldren, Caryl Spease (Jerry), William Neale Malloy (Patricia), Bridget Vannoy, Beth Blake, Megan Pugh, and Heather Smith Beardmore (John); 17 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, G. Marie (Wade) Malloy; three sons, Thomas Patrick Malloy, Jr., and infant twins Mark and Matthew; three daughters, Mary Catherine Malloy, and infants, Retha Ann and Anna Catherine; two brothers, John Joseph Malloy, William R. Malloy; a sister-in-law, Patricia Huggins Malloy, and an uncle who helped raise him, William Martin Kenney.

In line with Tom's wishes, following cremation burial with full military honors will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. In addition, please do a random act of kindness in Tom's memory.
