PARKERSBURG - The Chamber of Commerce of the Mid-Ohio Valley has a few spots open for its 2012 Business Expo.
The March 13 event will be at the E.L.I.T.E. Center.
"The goal of the business expo is to promote local businesses. It is set up with the format that chamber members can find out more about other chamber members and other business in the Mid-Ohio Valley," said Chamber president Jill Parsons.
Parsons said businesses that want to participate in the expo will have a booth to showcase their businesses, service, products and people. For information about a booth or attending the expo, contact Darlene Dimit at 304-485-1891, ext. 242.
"This is a real effort to make it about businesses in the Mid-Ohio Valley and open it up to other businesses in the area who haven't had the opportunity to learn about the chamber and might be interested in joining," Parsons said.
From 4-6 p.m. March 13, the event is open only to chamber members. Parsons said the first two hours will be a business-after-hours arrangement. The event is open to the public from 6-8 p.m.
"The area has a great wealth of businesses and people that like to support local businesses," she said. "They like to know who these people are and what they are about and about their products and services. This is an opportunity to combine all that."
Parsons was grateful for the help by The Parkersburg News and Sentinel, Results Radio and the E.L.I.T.E. Center.
