An open house will be held for Steve and Linda Cowan in honor of their 40th anniversary from noon to 2 p.m. March 4 in the cafe at South Parkersburg Baptist Church.
They were married March 4, 1972, at the Peoples Church in Boaz.
The late Rev. John Nesselroade performed the ceremony.

He is a retired pipe fitter from Local 565 and enjoys woodworking as a hobby. She worked at Ames Co. for 29 years and later for Fypon and Simonton Windows where she just retired at the end of February.
They have one daughter, April Dawn Cowan.
Gifts are to be omitted, but cards of well wishes are appreciated.
