Thomas W. Burk, 53, of Waverly, W.Va.. passed away Feb. 9, 2012, at his residence.
He was born in Parkersburg, the son of Thomas F. and Alice Wright Burk of Walker.
He had worked for Storck's Bakery for 14 years, had worked as a self employed contractor and had worked in maintenance for James IGA in Kanawha.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and working around his property.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his children, Chad Everett Burk of Parkersburg, Christopher Burk of Waverly and Michelle Burk of Belpre. His grandchildren who he loved dearly, Joclyn Earl, Jennifer Earl, Nicholas McGrary and Kyle Siers; his girlfriend of several years, Jennifer Grim and her children, Natasha, Nathan and Nerissa Grim; his brothers and sisters, Steve and Carolyn Burk of Walker, Leona and Ralph Leaseburg of Ellenboro, Wanda and Norm Orr of Walker and Cinda and James Windom of Walker. Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday 11 a.m. at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Pastor Norman Orr officiating. Burial will be in the Skidmore Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 7-9 p.m..
