Abigail Ruth Goosman and Aaron Hyun Higgins were united in marriage on October 15, 2011, at Washington United Methodist Church in Washington. The ceremony was officiated by Pastor John Foster IV, cousin of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Tim and Carol Goosman of Washington. She is the granddaughter of the late Gordon and Annette Goosman and the late Charles and Lady Ruth Scott, all of Parkersburg. She is a 2005 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and a 2009 graduate of West Virginia University with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse with DaVita Dialysis in Parkersburg.
The groom is the son of Greg and Terry Higgins of Belleville. He is the grandson of Ray and the late Geraldine Boso and Lillian and the late George Higgins, all of Parkersburg. He is a 2005 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and a 2009 graduate of West Virginia University with a bachelor's degree in computer engineering. He is employed as a systems engineer by TASC in Fairmont.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Nicole Keller, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Melissa Dean and Heather Osburn, both friends of the bride. Alex Higgins, brother of the groom, served as the best man. Groomsmen included Ian Higgins, brother of the groom, and Tim Waybright, friend of the groom. Flower girls were Ava Branham and Tabitha Hudgins, cousins of the bride. The ring bearer was Connor Branham, cousin of the bride.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Duane Flesher, friend of the bride, and Reinnie Leavitt, cousin of the bride. A reception followed the ceremony in the church's fellowship hall.
Following a honeymoon in Charleston, S.C., the couple resides in Parkersburg.
