Butler—Pennington

Sue Anne Butler and Gary Ernest Pennington were united in marriage July 24 at Williams Creek Baptist Church in Williamstown. Pastor Mike Horner and the Rev. Ernest C. Pennington officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Pete and Sue Rhymer of Vienna. She is the granddaughter of Betty J. Whitlatch and the late S. Don Whitlatch and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Rhymer.

The groom is the son of the Rev. and Mrs. Ernest C. Pennington of Beaver, W.Va. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Pennington and the late Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Goddard.

Brianna S. Butler, daughter of the bride, was maid of honor. Keith R. Pennington, brother of the groom, of Lakeland, Fla., was best man.

Ushers were Chip Allman, Thomas Napier and Jeff Ryan, all friends of the couple.

Scripture readings were read by Donald W. Rhymer, brother of the bride, of Colorado Springs, Colo. Soloists were Gary Pennington, accompanied by Keith Pennington; and Keith Pennington, accompanied by Lavonne J. Pennington, sister of the groom of Beckley, W.Va. Musical selections were by Amy Sinclair, friend of the bride, of Vienna. Kelli McCleary, friend of the couple, registered the guests.

The buffet reception was held at the Bayer Ministry Center at Wayside United Methodist Church in Vienna.

A sundae bar, served by Paige Fletcher and Brock Fluharty, was available as a special gift to the guests.

After a wedding trip to Hocking Hills, Ohio, the couple with her daughter, Brianna, resides in Parkersburg.
