Together with their parents, Brett Michael Matthews and Jessica Ashley Knox announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of the late Thomas M. Knox of Belpre and Rhonda S. Baker and Gary L. Cooper of Washington.
She is a 2005 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and a 2009 graduate of West Virginia University with a bachelor's degree in nursing and is pursuing a master's degree for family nurse practitioner at West Virginia University. She is employed at West Virginia University Hospital as a registered nurse.

He is a 2005 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and a 2010 graduate of West Virginia University with a bachelor's degree in wildlife and fisheries resources. He is employed at Dieffenbauch and Hritz as an environmental scientist.
A wedding is planned for June.
