Political bullies ruining U.S.

November 20, 2011
Parkersburg News and Sentinel

It is astounding to me that bullying has become a catch phrase for the public in our schools and society. When I was in school, the kids took care of the bullies in short order and all was forgotten for the most part without all the fuss of conflict resolution, dragging problems out to the ridiculous level.

Now, let's look at the biggest bully in this country for years: the network news media, destroying people's lives with every mistake a person may have committed, just to further their personal agenda or the views of political parties in their newscast.

Debates should have strict rules of conduct, absolutely no personal attacks, only debate the issues at hand. If this rule is broken, kick the person to the curb and continue with the issues pertaining to the running of this country.

Political parties are outrageous with their bullying practices, lie, cheat, steal, whatever it takes to win and then we wonder why the kids follow what they see. I don't vote for the person I respect, but rather the one I have the least contempt, for their views and what they have done and continue to do to destroy this country as a free nation, only to further their personal and political party agendas, with little concern of the people's rights given us by the Constitution.
