Laura Ashley Shelley and Charles Douglas Stout were united in marriage on Nov. 19 at First Baptist Church, Greenville, S.C. The Rev. Dr. Michelle McClendon officiated the ceremony. A reception followed at the Huguenot Loft at the Peace Center.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Donald Winburn Shelley of Greenville. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Junior Kerns of Greenville and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Carroll Shelley, also of Greenville. She is a graduate of Wake Forest University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She also holds a master's degree from Clemson University. She is employed as missions coordinator at First Baptist Greenville.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Raymond Stout of Parkersburg. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Francis Edwin Peters of Lowell and the late Mr. and Mrs. Alan Lee Stout of Parkersburg. He is a graduate of West Virginia University where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration. He is a franchisee of The Entrepreneur's Source.

Groomsmen were Robert John Barreto II, Anthony Paul Borrelli, nephew of the groom, James Vincent Borrelli, brother-in-law of the groom, David Jerome Heronemus, Peter Gifford Nash, Garrett Blake Poole, Joseph James Poole and Brian Wells Shelley, brother of the bride.
Mary Caroline Shelley, niece of the bride, served as flower girl, and Brian Wells Shelley Jr., nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer.
Ceremony readers were Terri Stout Borrelli, sister of the groom, Anne Burnett Garner and John Theodore Garner. Program attendants were Katherine Lorraine Borrelli and Laura Elizabeth Borrelli, nieces of the groom. Guest book attendants were Elizabeth Roe Decker and Shelley Hill Young, cousin of the bride.
After a wedding trip to Mexico, the couple will reside in Greenville.
