November 15, 2011
Michael Erb , Parkersburg News and Sentinel

PARKERSBURG - Rick Olcott, a member of the Wood County Schools Board of Education, will step down at the end of December.

Olcott sent a letter to board President Tad Wilson on Nov. 11, announcing he would resign as a board member effective Dec. 31. Olcott publically announced his plans to resign during a board meeting Nov. 14.

In his letter Olcott pointed squarely to the state debate over other post-employment benefits, also known as OPEB, as his reason for resigning.
