O’Reilly—Kanitz

Kelly Ann O'Reilly and Jesse Michael Kanitz were united in marriage July 9 at Lake Lyndsay Lodge in Oxford, Ohio. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Patrick Owens.

The bride is the daughter of Sue and the late Tom O'Reilly of Hamilton, Ohio. She is the granddaughter of Margaret Perrine and the late Clyde Perrine of Zanesville, and the late Margaret and John O'Reilly of Philo, Ohio.

The groom is the son of Linda and Kenneth Kanitz of Belpre. He is the grandson of Roy and Ellen Kanitz of Belpre and the late William and Mildred Miller of Vienna.

The bride was escorted by her mother and her brother, Sean O'Reilly, to be given in marriage. She wore a floor-length, white strapless gown with corset lacing in the back and rouching around the front with a white satin ribbon around the waist. The gown was adorned with a hand-sewn flower and leaf design with pearls and iridescent beads. She carried a bouquet of red roses.

The matrons of honor were Sara Shady and Megan Anderson-Roth. Attendants were Alisha Sargent, Kristin Anderson, and Jennifer Perrine-Finberg.

They wore tea-length black satin dresses with bodices adorned with sequins.

The best men were Nick Owens and Charlie Perrine. Groomsmen were Sam McGraw, Matthew Kanitz, Taylor Nestor and Andrew Dempsey.

Flower girls were Drew and Slone Temple.

A poem by E.E. Cummings was read by the groom's mother, Linda.

A dinner and dance reception followed the ceremony at Kayla's Korner in Oxford, Ohio.

The bride is a graduate of Talawanda High School. She is a graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor's degree in French, English and education, and received a master's degree in French literature from Ohio State University. She is employed by Dublin City Schools.

The groom is a graduate of Belpre High School. He is a graduate of Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in political science and English and received a master's degree in public policy and management and a law degree from the Ohio State Law School. He is employed by the firm of Lerner Sampson & Rothfuss of Columbus.

After a honeymoon in the Bahamas, the couple resides in Columbus.
