Dave and Christy Shoaf of Williamstown announce the engagement of their daughter, Carla Marie, to Luke Amos Bailey, son of Mark and Robin Bailey of St. Marys.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of William and Jean Hess of Bellaire, Ohio and William and Elinor Shoaf of Wheeling, W.Va. She is a 2006 graduate of Williamstown High School. She is set to graduate from West Virginia University School of Pharmacy with a doctorate in pharmacy in May 2012. She will be pursing a career in community pharmacy.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Harold and the late Katherine Sierer of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and the late Joe and Betty Bailey of St. Marys. He is a 2005 graduate of St. Marys High School and a 2008 graduate of West Virginia University of Parkersburg with a bachelor's degree in applied technology. He is employed at Network Alliance.
