Earl P. and Mary M. King of Parkersburg will celebrate their 65th anniversary Oct. 23.
They were married in Parkersburg on Oct. 23, 1946, by Rev. Irene Lovett.
He is the son of the late William King Jr. and Emma Meeker King of Jackson County. He retired from Union Carbide Chemicals and Plastic and is a 50-plus year active member Mount Olivet 3, AF&AM., a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite KCCH and member of Nemesis Shrine. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

She is the daughter of the late Emery and Dora Fansler Daniels and was born in Wood County. She retired from the Wood County Board of Education in 1979. She is a member of Bethany Shrine 4 and Lifetime Partner of Camden Clark Medical Center.
They are the parents of two sons, David (Agnes) of Deland, Fla., and Gregory (Susan) of Mineral Wells, and a daughter/stepdaughter Donna Sue (Carl) Allen of Washington, W.Va. They have six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
There will be a reception in the fellowship hall of Stout Memorial Methodist Church on Oct. 23 immediately following the morning service. Please omit gifts, but cards are welcomed.
