Mary Lucile Dotson, 88, of Pennsboro, formerly a resident of Love and Care Assisted Living in Parkersburg, passed away Oct. 3, 2011 at the Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus in Parkersburg.
She was born Sept. 23, 1923 on Buck Run, Ritchie County, a daughter of the late Elias Robert Dotson and Martha (Washburn) Dotson.
Lucile retired from the Franklin County Board of Education, where she was a secretary for the School System in Columbus, Ohio. She was a Pennsboro High graduate of 1941 and attended Mountain State Business College. Most importantly, she was a lifelong member of the Pennsboro Church of Christ.
Surviving is her brother, Leslie Dotson and wife Wilma of Pennsboro and 12 nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Berkley, Lloyd, and Ora Dotson; sister, Delcie Jackson; and nephew, Marshall Dotson.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro with Evangelist Terry Jones officiating. Interment will follow at the Ellenboro Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
