Robert and Janet Doyle Westbrook of Wingett Run, Ohio, will celebrate their 50th anniversary with an open house held by their children from 2-6 p.m. Oct. 9 at the Liberty Township Community Building, formerly the Dalzell School, where the couple held their wedding reception.
The couple was married Oct. 7, 1961, at the Eddy's Ridge Church of Christ.
Mr. Westbrook is the son of the late Edward and Martha Thomas Westbrook. Mrs. Westbrook is the daughter of the late Paul and Mae Hendershot Doyle.

Mr. Westbrook was employed at Broughton Foods Co. for 17 years until resigning to run his own business, Westbrook and Sons Construction, in 1977. Mrs Westbrook has worked in many capacities within the family business, including bookkeeping/secretary.
The couple has four children, Robin (Randy) O'Neal, Mark (Lorel) Westbrook, Angie (Steve) Summers and Eric (Kari) Westbrook. They have 11 grandchildren, Amber, Lindsey and Dylan O'Neal, Brianna Reese, Jena Casto, Kaitlyn, Kelsi, Erica, Ty, Colton and Carleigh Westbrook.
They have two great-grandsons, Liam Reese and Bentley Dunbar.
The couple request no gifts other than the presence of their family and friends.
