Together with their parents, Emily Megan Chambers and Brent S. Hardman announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Chambers of Franklin, W.Va. She is the granddaughter of Jack Chambers of Fenwick, Wanda Chambers of Glenville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Alden H. Dorsey of Franklin.

She is a 2003 graduate of Pendleton County High School, a 2007 graduate of the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine with a doctorate in osteopathic medicine.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Hardman of Parkersburg. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Amuso of Pittsburgh and the late Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Hardman of Parkersburg. He is a 2002 graduate of Parkersburg Catholic High School and a 2006 graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in chemical engineering and a 2010 graduate of the West Virginia University School of Medicine, with a doctorate in medicine.

Chambers and Hardman are working on their residencies at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

A Sept. 24 wedding is planned in Franklin.
