Billie J. and Helen L. Cowan of Parkersburg will celebrate their 60th anniversary on Sept. 10.
They were married Sept. 8, 1951, in the home of the bridegroom with the Pastor Irene Lovett of the Broadway Baptist Church officiating.
Mrs. Cowan is the daughter of the late William Caveney and Alma (the late Fred) Cowan.

Mr. Cowan is retired from DuPont after working 30 years.
Mrs. Cowan worked as a cook for the Wood County Schools and is retired.
They are the parents of Debbie (Mike) Hill, Billie J. (June) Cowan II, Christi (Bill) Shedd, DeDe Wimer (Dave) Ruble, and the late Mickie Cowan.
They have seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
An open house celebration will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sept. 10 at Faith Baptist Church in Vienna.
Gifts are to be omitted, but cards with a special memory would be appreciated.
