Joan A. and William M. Winderweedle of Parkersburg will celebrate their 60th anniversary Aug. 26-27 at Stonewall Jackson State Park.
They were married in 1951 at the Park Avenue Presbyterian Church in Bloomfield, N.J., by the Rev. Dr. Munchheimer.
She is the daughter of the late Mary Emma Bowker Cowan and John Cowan. He is the son of the late William M. Winderweedle and Pearl Smith Winderweedle.
He was stationed at Hickman A.F. Base on Oahu, Hawaii, for three years. He retired from Wirt Metals in Elizabeth.
She worked at Hickman A.F. Base at Honolulu, Hawaii, for two years. She is a homemaker.
They are the parents of Jane Winderweedle Bonolis and Linda Winderweedle L'Esperance. They have 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
