Robert and Elizabeth Hughes of Parkersburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathleen Marie, to Jason Jennings Woodyard.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Hughes of Parkersburg and Jesteen K. and the late James A. Raines of Lubeck. She is a 2003 graduate of Parkersburg Catholic High School and is employed by Strecker Cancer Center in Belpre.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Pam Pauley of St. Albans and Roger Woodyard of Parkersburg.

He is a graduate of Parkersburg High School and West Virginia University at Parkersburg. He is employed by Wood County Schools as a substitute teacher.
He is an assistant football and baseball coach at Parkersburg High School and an assistant girl's basketball coach at Parkersburg Catholic High School.
