Charles and Ruth Hughes celebrated their 65th anniversary.
They were married June 15, 1946, at the Rayon Drive United Brethern Church with the Rev. R.L. Kelbaugh presiding.
She is the daughter of the late Lundy and Clara Moore.

He is the son of the late Oley and Elsie Hughes. He is a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and retired from Union Carbide as an electrician in 1982.
They are parents of three children, Charlene (David) Miller of Pickerington, Ohio, VaDonna Jean (Jeff) Terrell of Mooresville, N.C., and Frank (Jeanne) Hughes of Elizabeth.
They have four grandsons and three great-granddaughers.
